In order to get a first hand look at the food restaurants are manipulating, I went to popular fast food chains to get a side by side comparison of the quality of food that I received, and the quality of food that was advertised. Below, are popular menu items from places such as McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Taco Bell. My personal experiment all but solidified that these restaurants do not meet the standards that their advertisements set and visually manipulate their food in images to look perfect and unrealistic.
